Eve and Rich / A Classic Vintage Glitzy Winter Wedding / The West Mill Derby

I thought I’d start with a special one from the end of 2019, a vintage styled Winter wedding at Derby’s West Mill.

This wedding features my good friend Eve, who you may recognise from some styled shoots and any personal get together shots I may have shared. I first met Eve when I was getting started in photography professionally back in 2012 when she modelled some clothes for a local vintage store I collaborated with to build my portfolio. We got chatting over our shared love of vintage and have been friends ever since.

I’ve shot a bunch of weddings at local venue the West Mill, Derby, over the years, so it was surreal to arrive and this time be seeing photos of a face I knew amongst the childhood photos decorating the venue.

Eve and Rich’s wedding day was stunning, beautifully styled with elements of art deco and just the right amount of glitz. I wouldn’t have expected anything less than a photographer’s dream given how much thought Eve was putting into the details into her planning and wanting everything to be just right on a day that meant so much to her.

Rich made the perfect groom alongside her, looking oh so dapper in his classic suit. The emotion on his face when he saw her coming down the aisle showed that the day meant just as much to him too.

Eve had a second dress for her reception which was more suitable for a bit of dancing and they rounded off their evening with sparklers outside, perfect for a Winter wedding.
