Self confessed ‘literature geeks’ Olivia and Jake were married at a book themed wedding at the stunning Sefton Park Palm House in Liverpool on a gorgeous sunny day in May.
The bride and groom met whilst on an English Literature course and Jake proposed outside New York Public Library so incorporating their love of books into their day just made sense! Book flowers were used in the bouquets and buttonholes and their table plan was made up of some of their favourite book titles. They chose to have an afternoon tea inspired by the Mad Hatter’s tea party, and put together a book inspired sweet table (with food references taken from Roald Dahl and Harry Potter amongst others). With music from Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings also being used during the day. Not to mention their incredible book themed wedding cake!
As well as being a fellow Hufflepuff, Olivia is also a fellow lover of 1950s style. She brought that to her and her bridesmaids style when choosing dresses and her make up for the day. I love how they were able to bring their interests together into such a gorgeous day with really beautiful styling. Anyway don’t take my word for it, see for yourselves…
