I’m often reminded of how lucky I am to be chosen by such awesome people to shoot their wedding, my couples really are the best and have such wonderful personalities. I had such a big smile on my face editing these and seeing so much happiness on the faces of everyone involved.Vicky and Michael made such an adorable couple, neither of them stopped smiling all day and it was lovely to see just how loved up they were with one another. Having been married before their main priority for the day was that it was enjoyable for them and their guests, not worrying too much about formal traditions, and wanting to do things relaxed and their way, which they certainly did.
They were married at Walton Hall in Warrington, a new venue for me, but such a lovely one. They felt that the venue didn’t need anything extra in the way of their own decorations, but did bring their individual loves of Owls and Lego into their table decorations for the reception! Vicky also surprised Michael with a Lego inspired Wedding Cake made by one of her friends. Their much loved little dog also made a special appearance after the ceremony for some photographs with the bride and groom, more pets at weddings please! The wedding car was a camper van, which always gets a thumbs up from me. Vicky wore some fabulous sparkly silver glitter heels in the day(with equally sparkly converse for dancing in the evening) and Michael wore burgundy converse with a deep blue suit.
One of the highlights of the day was another surprise that Vicky had sorted for Michael, when after his reading during the ceremony all of the guests joined together for a singalong, and lots of arm waving, to Bring Me Sunshine. It added a bit of fun to the usual formal and fairly serious proceedings which was really nice and earned Vicky a high five from the registrar.
