Time to share just a few previews from Charlie and Harriet’s gorgeous wedding at the stunning Devonshire Dome, Buxton. A new venue for me to shoot at and what a beautiful one it is. Don’t Charlie and Harriet make a stunning couple?

Well this was one gorgeous day.
It had been a few years since I was at Lower Damgate Farm, wedding venue and 20 acre animal rescue farm, and I was excited to return to this super pretty venue.
With dark clouds threatening overhead in the morning, and the weather forecast not being on our side, we were all a bit unsure about how the outdoor ceremony could go, but we didn’t see a drop of rain all day! I’m not sure we could have asked for nicer weather and I’m so glad as Carly and James really deserved the best for their day.
I think you’ll agree that they made such a stunning bride and groom. Plus I loved how they included their much loved pooch Lola in the day, with her being walked down the aisle ahead of the bride and even coming to join them in their first dance for a cuddle.
If you’re an animal lover like me and fancy having some extra furry friend guests roaming around at your wedding then Lower Damgate Farm may be for you, just keep your bouquets away from the goats!
Thank you to Lisa at Blue Fox Photo for assisting me at this wedding.
I’ve shot a few portrait sessions at the University of Nottingham now with newly graduated students and they have all said the same thing regards why the chose me, my photos were different and stood out from what else were out there. My clients didn’t just want the stiff staged formal style photo against a plain backdrop and saw the warmth, character, and emotion in my style of photography, which I hope comes across in the photos on this page! Like with my wedding work, I like to capture some personality and emotion in my documenting of your graduation, it isn’t just about a ‘portrait’ portrait photoshoot.
“I love them so much!! I genuinely cannot explain how much I love them, thank you!!”
If you are an upcoming Nottingham graduate (or even another local university graduate) wanting something more to remember your day by, some natural candids with family, some portraits in natural light with beautiful surroundings, then do get in touch using the contact form in the menu above!
“They look amazing!! So good! I initially hated the thought of having my photos taken as I was so stressed but seeing your photos has made me realise how beautiful I looked on Wednesday. Thank you, your photos made me fall in love with my graduation again.”
September 2017
It was fun to do something new recently in the form of some graduation photography portraits with the lovely Abby!
She got in touch with me a few weeks back saying she was looking for someone to capture her important day but hadn’t found any portrait photographers she liked until she came across my work as it was a bit different to the other options out there and she felt my images had more emotion behind them, which was lovely. She wanted me to capture her happiness on the day of her graduation with some portraits around the beautiful campus at the University of Nottingham, which was one of the factors that drew her to the University all the way from Beijing.
So, we met up after her ceremony and went for a wander to do just that 🙂 Here are some of the images from her session.
Hi Becky,

Hi Becky, Please can you let me know your costs for a photoshoot at University of Nottingham in July? I will be graduating but unfortunately there will not be a in person ceremony so I wanted to mark the graduation with a photoshoot on campus. I am not sure of exact date yet as I want to wait until I have my certificate so we can use this in the photoshoot. I hope to know nearer the time. I will be hiring the academic gown etc for the photoshoot.
Nottingham Trent Uni, but would like
a photo taken in cap and gown. Do you hire the gowns
As well as take the photo. If so how much do you
Charge.
Hi Gayna no I don’t hire out graduation gowns I’m afraid! Solely a photographer 🙂
Ooh have I got a stunning wedding for you today! It took place across two beautiful venues in my home city, Liverpool’s St George’s Hall and Oh Me Oh My.
Now based in London, the couple decided to get married in Lucy’s home city. Here’s a little introduction to our couple from bride, Lucy:
Alistair competes in chocolate competitions as he is a pastry chef and his hobbies include eating really good food, swimming and golf. He loves a comedy night or a gig where he can throw himself around. I teach drama in a secondary school and like a good play myself. I direct and write plays in my spare time and I’m doing a few sewing courses at the minute. I love a bit of organised fun and usually take on the role of games master on a night out.
So a bit of a talented pair really! I loved Lucy’s dress and styling. I think she was definitely showing her Italian heritage side in making such an elegant, stylish and timeless bride. Her bridesmaids showed how to do different styled dresses perfectly, tying them together with a consistent colour of blush pink. Groom Alistair similarly couldn’t have looked more dapper perfectly complimenting his bride keeping it stylish and classic with a deep blue suit and his hair styled back.
They were married in the absolutely stunning Concert Room at St George’s Hall, before hoping on a private double decker bus with their guests across the town to their reception venue. I *loved* their decision to use Joey’s speech for Monica and Chandler’s wedding from Friends during their own ceremony (those of you that are fellow Friends fans may have noticed the reference in my wedding package names)! Oh My Oh My is a beautiful light and airy space and it was styled with fairy lights and paper crane garlands. The evening drew to a close with a full dancefloor to a live band (local musicians, Genevieve).
(Look out for the puppets created in the likeness of the bride and groom by one of Lucy’s bridesmaids!)
