Last weekend I travelled down to London to capture one of our Starlet Suite ladies, Sadie’s, first self produced burlesque show. Despite being a burlesque fan I’d only shot a show once before a few years ago, just for fun, so it was great to give it another go over. With it being a small venue, seating arrangements put quite a restriction on my movement during the show so I found a spot which I stuck to throughout the show but it was good practice for when such limitations come up.
I decided to not just cover the performances, but also a bit of the prep before the event and each of the performers doing their sound checks and run throughs on the stage too before doors opened, this was when the above shots of Sadie (‘Freida Nipples’) were captured and they’re some of my favourites of the evening.
The performers at this event were – Elena Gabrielle, Vienna Vavoom, Tom Harlow, Merica Moonshine, Dirti Daphne, Freida Nipples, Lady FKA, Scarlet Rivers and Yippeeikay.
It really was a fantastic night with such fantastic performers so if you’re a London local I highly recommend keeping an eye out for the next ‘Freida Nipples Presents…’!
