A Matlock Bath couple shoot on the blog today. Raeesah and Tim’s pre-wedding/engagement portrait session at Matlock Bath in Derbyshire. We wandered across the bridge and down ‘Lovers Walk’ on this Autumnal afternoon last November. (Although we were in Winter, it still felt very Autumnal! We just about managed to time it to catch the tail end to still have the beautiful warm colours). I do love the colours of Autumn, I think it may be my favourite season. They’ll be getting married at The West Mill venue in Derby next month!

Wow, another year gone! My third year in the photography business.
Although based in Derbyshire, this wedding photographer got to travel the country once again to shoot more wonderful weddings. Including return visits to previous lovely venues the rustic Cruick Barn up in Skipton and quirky Fazeley Studios at the Custard Factory in Birmingham. Taking more local bookings this year meant discovering some wonderful new venues closer to home such as Derby’s West Mill which I shot at for the first time this year (and three times before the year was out!) and I’ll be returning in the new year. But as I love to travel, it’s great to have an excuse to do just that through my wedding photography and I’d love for my work to take me overseas some day (engagement shoot in Paris anyone?). With some months already fully booked, I’m excited for what’s lined up for 2017! I can’t wait to meet all you brides and grooms to be! But for now, back to 2016. From rustic summer evening vintage styled weddings, to a colourful rock bar wedding themed around the movies of Tarantino, I had the honour of capturing some seriously awesome weddings, with beautiful, quirky, funny, talented, kick ass couples. Also amongst the many weddings there were boudoir shoots, styled shoots, events, christenings, pet portraits and family shoots. I hope you enjoy this post as much as I enjoyed putting it together and revisiting so many fabulous days. Thank you so much to all my clients for choosing me as your photographer, and to everyone that simply follows my work and shows support, it’s much appreciated!

Corinna really looked like a Hollywood movie star in her beautiful vintage-esque dress and make up. Making the other half of this stunning couple, groom Nick wore a deep blue suit perfectly complimenting the red accents in the flowers for this December wedding. This was a wonderfully Wintery wedding and I’m looking forward to sharing the full set!
